London carries the largest concentration of higher-risk buildings in the country, from residential towers in Tower Hamlets and Greenwich to mixed-use blocks in Southwark and Croydon.
As at 30 April 2026, 4,378 residential buildings 11m and over with unsafe cladding were being monitored in the government's remediation programmes across England - 55% had started or completed works. London sits within one of the largest concentrations of these buildings in the country.
